It was in the U.S.A. that I first had the idea of writing a book about
Abu Bakr Assiddeeq. In the summer of 1982 , I visited my son who was studying
engineering at Pennsylvania State University. One night he invited some
of his fellow-students to his apartment and they asked a lot of questions
about Islam. I noticed that there was considerable interest in Abu Bakr,
Prophet Mohammed's closest follower and friend. I am now trying to remember
those students' questions and to supply adequate answers, in the hope that
these answers will be appreciated by them and that other people all over
the world will read them and benefit from them.
